Dr. Mark was born and raised in Walla Walla, Washington. After practicing chiropractic in Minnesota and Washington, he is excited to return to his hometown and join Elmenhurst Chiropractic Clinic.
Mark became a chiropractor because of the profound impact chiropractic care had on his own life as a child. At three years old, he began experiencing severe neck stiffness and nausea that eventually developed into debilitating migraines. By sixth grade, his symptoms had become so severe that he missed more school than he attended.
After numerous examinations by pediatricians and other healthcare providers, Mark was told there was no known cause for his headaches. He felt scared and hopeless, and he knew his mother felt the same. Then, through a mailer from Lucas Chiropractic, Mark and his family learned about chiropractic care.
Dr. Dino Lucas determined that Mark’s headaches were related to misalignments in his neck, which he believed resulted from birth trauma associated with the use of forceps. Through a series of chiropractic treatments, Dr. Dino was able to completely eliminate Mark’s migraines.
Before discovering chiropractic, Mark often feared that his migraines meant he was going to die. Dr. Dino gave him his life back—and, in the process, showed Mark what he wanted to do with his own life. Mark knew he wanted to help others the way he had been helped. He needed to become a chiropractor.
Today, Mark is excited to join Elmenhurst Chiropractic Clinic, a family he has known throughout his life, and to work alongside Drs. Dale, Dan, and Paul.
Outside of the office, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and their teenage daughter and son. His interests include beekeeping and reading a wide variety of books, particularly biographies and autobiographies, historical fiction, aviation, and the Longmire series by Craig Johnson.
